17:20 - QIANLONG (4) showed plenty and just failed on his debut at Nottingham two weeks ago. He is expected to build on that and can go one place better in this opening leg of the Placepot. Society Power is a very interesting newcomer, while the penalised Snazzy Jazzy can't be ruled out despite being absent since his Goodwood victory in June.

17:50 - ESKENDASH (7) has been given a break since his disappointing run at Leicester and is worth another chance keeping in mind the excellent form of his previous second over C&D. Lexington Law is proving most consistent and the fitting of headgear could be the catalyst to bring about a first win. Boycie and Michael's Mount are respected also.

18:20 - UAE QUEEN (4) showed much improved form to get off the mark with something in hand at Yarmouth last month, travelling strongly and quickly asserting once asked for her effort in the final furlong. She remains open to more progress after just three starts and, while the consistent Kyllachys Tale looks an obvious danger, UAE Queen is fancied to take advantage of what looks a fair mark on handicap debut and can justify favouritism for the in-form Andrea Atzeni/Roger Varian combination.

18:50 - DOUGAN (3) has been threatening to come good in a race like this on turf and this could be the day when everything clicks. Indeed, a strong pace looks assured and he is 1 lb lower compared to when finishing fifth in a strong York handicap last time. Upstaging has to be feared following his fine effort in the Stewards' Cup but ATLETICO (5), who has low mileage for a horse of his of age, looks the main danger and is also considered with the Placepot in mind.

19:20 - MAAZEL (4) found things happening too quickly back at five furlongs 11 days ago and could be the answer in this penultimate leg of the Placepot, with the addition of blinkers potentially a good move. Lydia's Place is in good form and merits respect, but the selection may have most to fear from C&D winner Sandfrankskipsgo, who is beginning to look well treated and was beaten less than three lengths when last of four at Brighton last time.

19:50 - ENNJAAZ (3) has taken a while to get to the track, but this looks by no means a deep maiden and he could easily be up to the task representing very powerful connections. Lewinsky needs to apply herself if she is to fulfil her potential, with Turnpike Trip another place contender.

Recommendation:

Win back UAE QUEEN in the 18:20 at Windsor

Placepot permutation:

17:20 - 4
17:50 - 7
18:20 - 4
18:50 - 3, 5
19:20 - 4
19:50 - 3
