"That form is working out well with the pair he split both winning next-time-out..."

Timeform on Come On Come On

17:50 - NINE BELOW ZERO (1) showed the benefit of his reappearance when runner-up over C&D last week, beaten only by one who had the run of things out in front. He can race from the same mark here and rates by far the most solid proposition for Placepot purposes, with the Ralph Beckett yard in fine form at present, too. Rock of Estonia looks another progressive sort, while Joegogo is a big player if able to reproduce his York run.

18:20 - LEADING SPIRIT (6) stepped up on his debut form (behind Coventry bound Legends Of War) when fourth over five furlongs here last time, keeping on well but lacking the pace to go with the leaders once they quickened two furlongs out. Indeed, he left the impression a return to this longer trip is what he needs and, with the prospect of more to come in first-time cheekpieces, Leading Spirit is fancied to see off the attentions of the newcomer Private Rocket, and can get off the mark at the third time of asking.

18:50 - FLYING SPARKLE (1) was a fairly useful two-year-old and proved she had trained on when resuming winning ways in a first-time visor at Chepstow nine days ago, making all in determined fashion. The drop back in trip here will be in her favour on that evidence and she sets a high standard despite her penalty. Rebel Streak has yet to get it together so far this season, but is a player if recapturing his juvenile form in first-time headgear, while Rose Hip showed something to work on when third at Salisbury.

19:20 - COSMEAPOLITAN (4) wasted no time getting back on track when fourth at Chester last time, shaping well against the run of the race, and is one to be interested in with this stiffer test in his favour. Here And Now was steadily progressive last season and is the type to make a better four-year-old, while Twin Star may still be getting better having fared best of those held up at Ascot last month.

19:50 - HAPPY ENDING (6) overcame a slow start when opening his account at Brighton last time, improving for the step up in trip, and probably still has more to offer back in a handicap. Just Right offered little on her first three starts, but caught the eye making handicap/turf debut after four months off when fourth at Bath and can do better again in this penultimate leg of the Placepot, while Hot Off The Press should also have more to offer now handicapping/up in trip.

20:20 - COME ON COME ON (6) improved again when second on his most recent outing over C&D, staying on well and perhaps likely to have won had he really knuckled down in the closing stages (hung left constantly through the final furlong). That form is working out well with the pair he split both winning next-time-out and, still potentially very well treated from just 1 lb higher here, Come On Come On is preferred to the similarly lightly raced Garrick, and can take his record to three wins from five starts.

20:50 - REVIVED (6) is likely to benefit from this return to six furlongs and should go well in the finale with Jamie Spencer riding for the first time. Lightly-raced pair Miracle Works and How Far head the dangers.
