Timeform take you through the card at Wincanton on Monday...

14:15 - LADY LONGSHOT (3) was on a roll when last seen back in June, progressing to complete a double on her most recent start at Newton Abbot, leading on the bridle around the home turn that day, and merely just kept up to her work towards the line. She's been handed a 5 lb rise by the handicapper for that win, which looks manageable, and her absence isn't too much of a concern considering that she's won after a break in the past. The money for Hiupinthesky is interesting, and it would be no surprise should she prove a different proposition on debut for the Oliver Sherwood team.

14:45 - This race looks likely to turn into a match between Jenkins and SECRET INVESTOR (2), and a strong case can be made for supporting Paul Nicholls' charge. Both have three chase starts under their belt, and today's terms favour Secret Investor, who will receive 6 lb from his rival. The pair are very well-matched on form, meaning that weight could be crucial, particularly if Secret Investor is able to improve on his jumping. Jenkins will prove a big threat, though if ready to go after a 100-day break, and if allowed to get into a good rhythm up front.

15:15 - It's been a long time between drinks for OPENING BATSMAN (5), who hasn't won for two years, but he's been in good form at the moment, catching the eye when fourth under an attacking ride at Wincanton last month, only running out of zip approaching the last. Dropped 4 lb for that outing, he arrives here 11 lb lower than his last winning mark and considering the heart he's in at the moment. Mine's A Pint looked professional when winning on debut at Plumpton last time and rates as a big threat.

15:45 - LIZZIE LANGTON (6) hasn't been able to follow up in four starts since winning over C&D in December, but she's been in good heart despite that, shaping better than the bare result when third here at the beginning of the month, dropping away from three out having done too much too soon. If ridden with more restraint this time around, she should go close at a track she thrives at. Findusatgorcombe rates the chief threat, ahead of Gamain.

16:15 - MIRANDA (4) has made a fine start to life at the Paul Nicholls yard since switching from France, looking a useful filly in the making when winning a C&D event with ease 18 days ago, travelling strongly and winning hard-held when picking up the lead from two out. Her opening handicap mark could prove within her reach considering there could be more to come yet, and she's fancied to complete the hat-trick.

16:45 - CHEF D'EQUIPE (1) is in good heart at the moment, backing up a win at Taunton in January with placed efforts at Leicester and Wincanton since. The most recent of those came in handicap company, and while he's clearly on a solid mark at the moment, the switch back to novice company should help. Storm Arising sets a solid standard, but he's short enough as an odds-on favourite at the time of writing, meaning there's value in siding with Chef d'Equipe for the in-form Philip Hobbs.
