Nick Shiambouros was out of luck yesterday when his best bet finished second at BSP 14.5. Nick hopes to end his current stint in the tipping chair with two selections from Wincanton and Chelmsford...
"She is best judged on her debut when finishing a promising fifth to Nasaiym at Newbury"
Whitehot the choice
13:10 Wincanton - Whitehotchillifili
Whitehotchillifili looks like the horse to beat in this mares only novices' hurdle.
This mare put in a much improved effort when beating Lisa De Vassy over this course last month. She made all the running and pulled clear without being challenged. The extra yardage should suit and has an excellent chance of defying a penalty. At present she is trading at 2.9215/8 on the exchange.
Cill Anna is the second choice at 3.8514/5 on the exchange. She got up close home to beat Emmas Joy at Warwick last month and is the obvious danger.
18:00 Chelmsford - Time To Strike
Time To Strike should make her presence felt in this interesting contest.
This filly finished sixth to the talented Nina Bailarina at HQ last August. She completely missed the break, and was always fighting a losing battle. She is best judged on her debut when finishing a promising fifth to Nasaiym at Newbury. She looks like the big improver and is reasonably priced at 5.24/1 on the exchange.
Stablemate Nigel Nott could be the danger. He was a ready winner over this course in a similar event, but does have to carry a penalty. At present he is trading at 3.052/1 on the exchange.
