Timeform take you through the card at Wetherby on Boxing Day...

12:00 - Petticoat Tails was a talented bumper horse but hadn't looked the most straightforward on occasion last season and ran poorly on her hurdling debut/return to action this term. With that in mind, she looks worth taking on for Placepot purposes, and the penalised SCHIAPARANNIE (1) could be the most solid option. She won here last time over two miles (beating Autumn Surprise), and should have even more to offer now going up in trip (dam stayed three miles).

12:30 - Dick Darsie isn't completely straightforward and is another favourite worth taking on. CANT PAY WONT PAY (8) looks the one to be with, in the process of running well when unseating in a similar race to this last time on his first start for Rose Dobbin. Prior to his mishap he was shaping up as though he is on a workable handicap mark, and he isn't one to give up on yet.

13:05 - The Dalaman is up in the weights having been beaten under a penalty last time, so could be worth taking on THE DAWN MAN (2) has attracted support again and should be suited by returning to two and a half miles, seemingly finding the drop back to two against him last time. He remains unexposed and is worth including along with RED OCHRE (9), who is interesting given the booking of Bryan Hughes ahead of his handicap debut.

13:40 - Not the easiest bunch to split. SPECIAL CATCH (2) looked rusty on his return from a break at Ayr last time, but has been dropped a lb in the weights since and is fairly treated on the pick of his form from last season, which included a good second to Mystifiable at Perth.

14:10 - WAKANDA (2) looks the pick, now 5 lb lower in the weights that when splitting Definitly Red and Blaklion in this race last year. That field is substantially stronger than this one on paper, and he should have an excellent chance of going one better this time around, having gone well for a long way in the Rehearsal Chase at Newcastle last time (got into a battle for the lead).

14:45 - It's interesting that BRIGHT TOMORROW (10) has attracted early market support with cheekpieces enlisted and Richard Johnson booked, having become well treated on some of his old form for Jessica Harrington in Ireland. Of the others NICELY INDEED (5) could run well, having shaped better than the bare result here last time following a bad mistake at the final hurdle.

15:20 - This is tricky. Miss Amelia has attracted support at big odds and has less convictions than some of these as she makes her handicap debut. She could run well, and it is worth keeping an eye on the opening contest on the card, with the winner and third from the race she contested here last time both in action.

Recommendation:

Win back Wakanda in the 14:10 at Wetherby

Placepot permutation:

12:00 - 1
12:30 - 8
13:05 - 2, 9
13:40 - 2
14:10 - 2
14:45 - 5, 10
