There is racing from Thurles on Thursday, and Timeform pick out their three best bets.
"Hard Bought switches to chasing here for the first time since 2013 (looked to be being brought along with handicaps in mind) and he's a potential potentially very well treated on the pick of his efforts over timber..."
Westerners Son - Thurles 13:05
Westerners Son was fairly useful over hurdles and showed an aptitude for chasing when third on his debut over fences in a maiden at this track in November, shaping encouragingly in a race won by subsequent Grade 3 winner Ttebobb. Westerners Son wasn't as good when fourth to Mckinley in a similar event at Fairyhouse earlier this month, but he remains with potential as a chaser and may be worth chancing to bounce back.
Avant Tout - Thurles 14:15
Avant Tout has quickly matched his useful hurdles form over fences, and he's taken to resume winning ways in this four-runner listed event with Ruby Walsh back aboard. Avant Tout made a winning chasing debut over two miles at Tramore back in May, overcoming the odd scare in the jumping department to win by an easy six lengths from Mumbo Bay (the now smart chaser Viconte du Noyer well back in third), and he showed much better form (jumped better) when runner-up to his promising stablemate Outlander in a Grade 2 event at Limerick on his reappearance last month.
Hard Bought - Thurles 15:20
Hard Bought is a four-time winner over hurdles and he's shaped better than the distance beaten on both his starts at Cork in November, needing the run after seven months off on the first occasion and late mistakes hastening his demise on the latter. Hard Bought switches to chasing here for the first time since 2013 (looked to be being brought along with handicaps in mind) and he's a potential potentially very well treated on the pick of his efforts over timber, while he was also a winner in points as a younger horse.
