Nick Shiambouros returns with a couple of fancies from the NH meeting at Ludlow...
"This looks like the ideal opportunity for him to get off the mark over hurdles"
13:40 Ludlow - Herecomestheboom
Herecomestheboom should be ready to do himself justice on hurdles debut. This gelding finished third to Rouge Vif in a bumper over this course last spring. He attempted to make all, but failed to quicken when the chips were down. I thought that a fair effort considering he was carrying a penalty for a bumper win at Cheltenham. This looks like the ideal opportunity for him to get off the mark over hurdles. At present he is trading at [5.5] on the exchange.
Dorking Boy is an interesting contestant. He was beaten a country mile on hurdles debut behind Secret Investor in a Grade 2 at Chepstow last October. His bumper form suggests he is better than this, and is probably worth another chance. At present he is trading at [3.8] on the exchange.
16:50 Ludlow - Juge Et Parti
Juge Et Parti should appreciate the return to maiden hurdle company after running creditably in handicap company. Last month at Cheltenham he finished sixth to Aux Ptits Soins. He ran on fairly well in the closing stages, but never had a realistic chance of mounting a challenge. He is the form choice and the shorter trip should suit. At present he is trading at [5.9] on the exchange.
Morning Vicar is the short priced favourite at [2.38] on the exchange. He was beaten a long way on hurdles debut, but represents high profile connections and is open to improvement. I have little interest in backing him at this price.
