Timeform pick out three bets from Hamilton on Wednesday...
"This represents a a drop in class, and he is very much the one to beat on these terms..."
Timeform on Sir Dancealot
Rotherhithe finished runner-up in all three of her starts for Robyn Brisland last year, and looks well up to winning a race of this nature. She sets the standard on form in this field, and could have even more to offer for Richard Fahey this season, so is well worth chancing to make a winning reappearance in a race that seemingly lacks depth. Jonboy, who should have come on for his reappearance, and It's Never Enough could prove the biggest dangers.
This looks a good opportunity for Sir Dancealot to open his account for the season. He was gelded in the off-season, and has looked better than ever in both starts so far this year, finishing a good third to Harry Angel in the Duke of York Stakes last time. This represents a a drop in class, and he is very much the one to beat on these terms. Kimberella is the obvious second choice on form, though Laugh A Minute could easily make a jump forward.
It is very hard to get away from the claims of Only Spoofing, who has made an impressive start for Jedd O'Keeffe, winning two of his three starts. He proved better than ever in his latest win at Beverley, shrugging off an 11 lb rise to win by five lengths, and he remains ahead of the handicapper turned out under a 6 lb penalty. Jessie Allan is another one improving rapidly, winning again at Ayr on Monday, and should continue to give a good account under a double penalty providing this doesn't come too soon.
