Nick Shiambouros is back with a couple of selections from Beverley and Ripon...
"He made all the running, and pulled clear in the closing stages to win with plenty in hand"
Busby ready to graduate
16:30 Beverley - Busby
Busby should run well in this novice stakes.
This Kodiac gelding put in a much improved effort when finishing third to Symposing at Wetherby earlier this month. He kept on really well in the closing stages and was not beaten all that far. I think he has more to offer, and is fairly priced at 5.39/2 on the exchange.
Effervescence heads the market at 2.767/4. This filly finished third to Talaaqy at Catterick last month. She attempted to make all, but was firmly put in her place inside the final furlong. She is best judged on her promising second to Fountain Of Time at Lingfield in March.
Chapple-Hyam colt to win again
21:10 Ripon - MC Muldoon
MC Muldoon should go close in this interesting contest.
This colt created a favourable impression on debut when beating Giovanni at Nottingham earlier this month. He made all the running, and pulled clear in the closing stages to win with plenty in hand. I think he is open to a fair amount of improvement and is attractively priced at 4.94/1 on the exchange. In addition the stable is in super form which is an added bonus.
Department Of War heads the market at 3.9 on the exchange. He finished last of three in a Listed race at HQ last month. He had previously won a Nottingham maiden in good style from Jamih, and is best judged on that effort.
