Bets of the Day: Improving Artsy to score at Kempton
Nick Shiambouros was on the mark yesterday when Tarando won at Catterick. Today Nick has a selection from Nottingham and one from Kempton...
"I think she has a lot more to offer and should go very close"
13:50 Nottingham - Q Ten Girl
Q Ten Girl will appreciate the return to selling company. This Zebedee filly finished ninth to Marcle in a nursery at Wolverhampton earlier this month. She made a little progress a furlong from home and was not beaten all that far.
She is only moderate but does have a willing attitude, and is the only one in the field that has won a race. Her price of [3.5] is just about right.
The current favourite Custom is trading at [3.0].
She finished seventh in a seller at Wolverhampton five days ago, and does not inspire much confidence based on that effort. She had previously shown some promise in a Salisbury maiden, but I am not a fan to be honest.
17:25 Kempton - Artsy
Artsy should be difficult to beat in this nursery.
Last time out at Chelmsford City this Dutch Art filly beat Desert River in great style. She was taken off her feet in the early stages, but finished strongly to take the lead inside the final furlong and win going away.
I think she has a lot more to offer and should go very close. She is trading at [2.42] and I have backed her at that price.
Showmethewayavrilo could chase the selection home. He was beaten a head over this course earlier this month and is a consistent individual.
Mikiteri put in an improved effort last time out and could run well at a price. She has a little upside and is fairly priced at [10.0].
