Orakal - 12:30 Durbanville

Orakal is improving race on race and has got nearer to the winner in each progressive start with a three-quarter length second to Made To Conquer at Kenilworth over this trip last time out his best run yet. Although that race is yet to be tested his previous third is working out well with the first two home winning again next time out, and if he continues improving, then Orakal should prove hard to beat here.

Essenceoflife - 15:30 Durbanville

Essenceoflife looks like a spot of value this afternoon at Durbanville after winning by a very comfortable two lengths at Kenilworth over this six furlongs, seeing off Sun At Midnight off a rating of 71. Up four pounds for that he still doesn't seem overly burdened here and has placed off of higher marks, and with Louis Burke taking nine pounds off today Essenceoflife has to have a pretty decent chance of a follow up success.

Apollo Star - 16:05 Durbanville

Apollo Star won his second race last time out at Kenilworth when holding off Rocketeer with a bit in hand at the line despite the official margin of three-quarters of a length. That victory came quite soon after his maiden win at the same course and distance in July and the son of Alado certainly seems to be improving rapidly lately, and if Apollo Star can improve again this is his for the taking for likeable trainer Joey Ramsden.
