"...this looks a good opportunity for him to open his account..."

Timeform on Sire de Berlais

Sire du Berlais - 16:20 Punchestown

Not for the first time, Sire du Berlais shaped better than the bare result when finishing fourth in the Martin Pipe at the Festival last month, caught further back than ideal. He is yet to win since joining Gordon Elliott, but this looks a good opportunity for him to open his account, and he is fully expected to do so. Pravalaguna shaped well at Fairyhouse last time and is sure to be popular for Willie Mullins.

Next Destination - 16:55 Punchestown

Next Destination completed a hat-trick when winning a Grade 1 at Naas before looking ready for this step up to three miles when a staying-on third in the Ballymore Novices' Hurdle behind Samcro at the Cheltenham Festival six weeks ago. He is fully expected to return to winning ways, perhaps at the main expense of Albert Bartlett winner Kilbricken Storm, while Delta Work is worth a shot at this level having shown smart form to win the Pertemps Final.

Road To Respect - 17:30 Punchestown

Road To Respect was far from disgraced when finishing fourth in the Cheltenham Gold Cup last time and, on that running alone, he looks the one to beat here. He was seemingly unsuited by the heavy ground, so in the hope it isn't as testing here, he is expected to resume winning ways and record his second Grade 1 success of the season. Djakadam finished further back in the Gold Cup, but has a great record at this course, and ran Sizing John very close in this race last year, so it wouldn't be a surprise were he to go close.
