Timeform pick out their three best bets on day two of Royal Ascot 2017.
Happy Like A Fool - Ascot 15:05
Heartache put up a strong timefigure when winning on debut at Bath, while Neola did likewise when chasing home Main Desire in a listed race at York last time. However, the American filly Happy Like A Fool is top of the Timeform ratings following her demolition job at Keeneland on her debut. Wesley Ward is looking for a hat-trick in the race and, though his filly is no great price, she looks the likeliest winner. Mrs Gallagher and Out of the Flames, who finished first and third, respectively, over C&D last month, look the pick of the rest.
Ulysses - Ascot 16:20
The form Jack Hobbs showed when winning in Dubai last time sets the standard here, but his best efforts to date have all come over a mile and a half, and the suspicion is he may be vulnerable to a speedier rival over this trip on quick ground. Highland Reel is versatile in that regard and should run his usual sound race, but may have to play second fiddle to Ulysses on this occasion. The four-year-old was only fourth behind Highland Reel at the Breeders' Cup in 2016, but looked far more the finished article when making a successful reappearance at Sandown in April, and remains with potential after just eight starts.
Gymnaste - Ascot 17:35
Chester winner Gymnaste looked unlucky when second at Kempton last month, likely to have thrown down a strong challenge to the winner if out in the clear sooner, and is fancied to gain compensation under Josephine Gordon here. The fellow Cheveley Park-owned On Her Toes rates a big danger, having progressed with each start to date, while Queen of Time proved better than ever when making a successful handicap debut at Goodwood last month, and looks the type to keep on improving.
