Timeform pick out bets from Newbury on Wednesday.
"He will likely have derived plenty from that experience, and he seems sure to progress and win races in this sphere..."
Style de Garde - 12:30 Newbury
Style de Garde has already won over hurdles in France, running to a level which much succeeds anything that the ones with experience here have shown, and he could be another interesting French recruit for Nicky Henderson. The Alan King duo - who made their hurdling debuts in the same race at Wetherby last time - look the most interesting of the remainder, with Doctor Bartolo taken as the main danger.
Potterman - 13:00 Newbury
A big-field novice hurdle which is sure to throw up plenty of future winners, but there was plenty to like about Potterman's debut over hurdles and he looks the one to focus on. He sweated up beforehand, but he would have likely won at Ascot had he jumped better in the main, losing momentum at the last before staying on again close home. Potterman will likely have derived plenty from that experience, and he seems sure to progress and win races in this sphere. Brianstorm is another who made an encouraging start over timber recently and rates an obvious threat, while the Nicky Henderson pair Pacific de Baune and Doux Pretender would also come into it if the market speaks in their favour.
Melrose Boy - 15:15 Newbury
Melrose Boy brings some solid handicap form to the table returned to novice company and he remains relatively unexposed as a hurdler, too. He looked a long way ahead of his mark when winning a competitive handicap at Chelthenham by six lengths last time (despite racing wide being a big advantage on the day) and he remains unexposed at this trip, so is preferred to Nicky Henderson's Mr Whipped, who won with plenty in hand on his hurdling debut and looks dangerous under a penalty.
