Nick Shiambouros is back with a couple of good priced selections from Chepstow and Warwick...
"I think she will appreciate the extra distance, and should be ready to do herself justice on her hurdles debut"
13:20 Chepstow - Vic De Touzaine
Vic De Touzaine is an interesting runner in this novices' hurdle.
This French import finished a respectable seventh to Tapaculo over this course earlier this month. He refused to settle in the early stages of the race, and as a result weakened out of contention two flights from home.
That was his first outing in just over two years and was not without promise. I think he is entitled to improve significantly and could go close at a decent price.
He is well worth an interest at his current price of 5.95/1 on the exchange.
Champagne At Tara is the favourite at 2.111/10. He ran well on his seasonal reappearance when finishing fourth to Billy No Name in a handicap hurdle at Wetherby last month.
He has the form in the book to take this, but he may not be entirely straightforward and represents poor value in my opinion.
13:45 Warwick - Iconic Star
Iconic Star should go close at a decent price in this mares only event.
She finished third to Potters Legend in a bumper at Fakenham last month. She ran on in good style in the closing stages and finished the race willingly.
I think she will appreciate the extra distance, and should be ready to do herself justice on her hurdles debut. Her current price of 6.611/2 is very fair.
Favourite Hollies Pearl is trading at a thin 1.824/5. She won three bumpers last season and won on her hurdles debut last month.
She is a progressive sort, but does have to concede weight all round in this interesting contest.
