Lady of Aran - 13:40 Yarmouth
Lady of Aran shaped much better than the bare result when finishing in mid-division at Ascot two weeks ago, making headway when meeting trouble and having to be snatched up over a furlong out, ultimately finishing with running left. Charlie Fellowes' charge is much better judged on her earlier form under the circumstances, and, still only 2 lb higher than when narrowly denied at Chelmsford the time before, it seems only a matter of time before she gets her head back in front with a bit more luck, representing a yard that has been operating comfortably above its usual level in recent weeks (58% of horses running to form).

King of Change - 15:25 Sandown
King of Change is likely to be popular on his first start since finding only Magna Grecia too good in the 2000 Guineas in May, but Richard Hannon's hopes of finding a soft touch for his reappearance appear to have been thwarted somewhat by the presence of Turgenev, who arrives here with even stronger form claims on the back of a good second in the Celebration Mile at Goodwood. Clearly, King of Change remains open to more improvement in his own right after only four starts, but today is essentially a prep race for some big targets later on the autumn - he is entered in the Queen Elizabeth II Stakes on Champions Day - and there is enough depth to this listed race to suggest taking him on at the current prices, with Sean Levey unlikely to be too hard on him after such a long time off the track.

Reassure - 16:10 Beverley
23% - Daniel Tudhope's strike rate at Beverley
Reassure left the form of her debut well behind to get off the mark at Chelmsford last time, hitting the front a furlong out and keeping on well thereafter to win comfortably by a length and a half. That form sets the standard on weight-adjusted ratings here, even with her penalty taken into account, and it will be disappointing if she isn't thereabouts in her follow-up bid, with the prospect of even more to come under Beverley specialist Daniel Tudhope, who has celebrated 48 winners from 206 rides at Beverley in recent seasons, returning a level stakes profit of £43.65.
