13:50 - BLAIRS COVE (1) has taken well to hurdles since joining the Dan Skelton team, winning once and finishing second on his two other starts. He failed to land the odds in a similar event at this course last time, but lost little caste in defeat, beaten only by another promising novice to whom he conceded track position early with little pace on. Blairs Cove remains with potential going forward and is expected to get back on the winning trail.
14:25 - This looks a relatively open handicap but DOTTIES DILEMA (4) is going through a good spell at present and looks the one to focus on. He won over hurdles at Cartmel last month and followed up reverted back to fences at Worcester last time, jumping fine and travelling fluently, and would have likely won by a little further but for idling on the run in. Dotties Dilema is proving more consistent for current connections and is fancied to complete the hat-trick turned out under a penalty.
14:55 - As many do, PREMIER ROSE (6) has immediately clicked since joining Dan Skelton, winning both starts to date, and she is once more hard to get away from. She won by four and a half lengths at Newton Abbot last month but still had plenty in hand, and she remains with potential, so is expected to defy a further 7 lb rise and make it three from three for Skelton.
15:30 - This looks a competitive handicap chase, but SONNEOFPRESENTING (3) won with a bit more in hand than the bare margin suggests at Worcester last time, looking in control at the last but idling close home and nearly getting overhauled. He's a likeable type, and despite that late scare, he has won four of his last five starts and looks the one to focus on. Fort Worth isn't always the easiest to win with, but he looked as good as ever to score by 15 lengths when last seen in June and needs monitoring in the market on his return.
16:05 - Plenty to consider, but EARTH LADY (6) showed enough last season to suggest she is up to winning a race of this nature and could make a winning return for the in-form Phillip Hobbs team. It's fair to say she was a little disappointing on handicap debut on her final start, but she failed to settle over the longer trip, and could prove this mark lenient. FOOL TO CRY (4) looked rusty on her first run since leaving Neil Mullholland at Worcester last time but is entitled to come on for that and is another who is potentially well treated, so is also worth keeping on side.
16:35 - BILLY TWO TONGUES (6) has been progressive on the whole since joining Jeremy Scott and, provided he can jump a little more fluently than last time, he's well enough handicapped to get off the mark for the season. Lost Legend was in front of him that day and shouldn't be far away once more, while the in-form Alberobello has to be considered.
