After missing out on yesterday's Cheltenham Festival Placepot by just one leg, we turn to Uttoxeter for today's attempt.
"Paul Carberry is an eye-catching booking aboard Irish raider Raz De Maree and he will hopefully allow the Cork National winner to creep into the race and produce him late once the prominent runners capitulate."
13:35 - Young Cheddar beat Tambura by some 12 lengths the last time they met and a 9lb swing in the weights (taking into account the claim from her talented jockey) is not expected to be enough to see that form reversed.
14:05 - Miracle Cure was giving Jaunty Inflight a stone when going down by four lengths when the pair met at Bangor in February, a 7lb swing in the weights should see the selection go a lot closer today, especially as Miracle Cure was far from fluent at the last flight.
14:40 - With the likes of Atlantic Roller and Deputy Dan not looking the most straight forward so far this season they could struggle to get on top of the progressive Algernon Pazham, who had the form of his last run franked nicely when Runswick Royal won a listed chase at Kelso next time out. Top Wood is also one to keep on side in this as he has won off 130 over hurdles and remains a chaser with plenty of promise from a mark of just 128 in this sphere.
15:15 - Beg To Differ won with something in hand at Carlisle last time out and may well have more to give off a 9lb higher mark. Ian Williams has his string in excellent order at the moment and Hollow Tree is expected to give a bold bid. Having been a Grade 1 winning juvenile he is of interest off his lowest ever mark after he finished a promising second to a progressive type at Market Rasen last time out.
15:50 - With plenty of these likely wanting to race prominently this could develop into even more of an attritional contest than normal, and it could be worth putting in a horse that is not likely to be up with the pace throughout. Paul Carberry is an eye-catching booking aboard Irish raider Raz De Maree and he will hopefully allow the Cork National winner to creep into the race and produce him late once the prominent runners capitulate. Favourite Catching On will also be held up under McCoy and has a great chance under just a 6lb penalty for a comfortable win in the Devon National recently.
16:25 - Quick Decision is a little risky based on his last two starts where he was well beaten after going off as favourite. He remains very well treated on hurdles form however and if the combination of first time blinkers and Richard Johnson returning can improve his jumping then he has place claims in a weak looking race.
