Timeform take you through the card at Uttoxeter on Wednesday.

14:00 - EQUUS AMADEUS (8) did the job well when opening his account in an Exeter bumper and gets the nod in this opening leg of the Placepot, with that form boosted since and this four-year-old appealing as the type to make a hurdler. Or de Vassy also showed plenty of ability in bumpers and he is expected to emerge as the main danger ahead of Special Prep, who shapes as though he would be ideally suited by a stiffer test.

14:30 - ART OF PAYROLL (1) proved better than ever when making a successful debut for the Harry Fry yard at Southwell last month, jumping to the front four-out and always doing enough to hold off the sustained challenge of the runner-up in the closing stages. That rival boosted the form when going one better at Perth on Monday and, with this longer trip unlikely to inconvenience him, Art of Payroll is taken to follow up, and can give weight and a beating to his four rivals under Noel Fehily.

15:00 - INIESTA (12) ran creditably when second on his most recent outing at Newton Abbot and might have given the winner more to think about but for a bad mistake at the final flight. He remains potentially well treated from just 4 lb higher in the weights, and looks a worthy favourite if handling this marked step up in trip under David Bass, with the possibility of more to come in first-time cheekpieces. Wolftrap shaped with promise at Newton Abbot last time and looks best of the remainder.

15:30 - COOL SKY (5) was better than ever when landing a big-field Flat handicap at Goodwood last month and there has to be a chance that he can rate higher in this sphere too. Gustave Mahler is in top form at present but his opening mark does ask for a lot more, so Werenearlyoutofit is feared most as fresh is very likely the time to catch him given his fragility.

16:00 - HEDGEINATOR (3) appeared to save a bit up his sleeve when winning on debut for the Christian Williams yard at Newton Abbot last month, and is fancied to defy a 6 lb hike in the weights. River of Intrigue is more of interest back at this sort of trip, while Little Windmill should strip fitter for a recent spin over hurdles and is also considered.

16:30 - JUST A FEELING (5) has evidently been hard to train, but she is one to take seriously starting out for a red-hot yard in this concluding leg of the Placepot. Borderlinedecision caught the eye at Newton Abbot 11 days ago and the drop back in trip will suit, while Camakasi is potentially well treated on his belated return to hurdles judging by his easy success on the level last month.

Placepot permutation:

14:00 - 8
14:30 - 1
15:00 - 12
15:30 - 5
16:00 - 3
16:30 - 5
