"...he remains well treated judged on the pick of his efforts..."

Timeform on Voix d'Eau

14:10 - THE OTMOOR POET (8) has had three attempts in handicap hurdles without success, but he really ought to be up to winning off this sort of mark based on his Flat ability and might be worth one more chance in this opening leg of the Placepot. Vive Le Roi and Mariners Moon arrive on the back of good efforts over C&D in recent weeks and can figure again, while Get Ready Freddy has been successful on both previous outings here.

14:40 - ADAMS PARK (1) clearly derived plenty from his opening hurdles run when successful at Stratford a fortnight ago, and with experience often a big help in these early-season events, he is expected to follow up. Lord Caprio landed the opening juvenile at Hexham, but that race hasn't worked out, while Ormesher is bred for this game.

15:10 - MONBEG LEGEND (2) has made an encouraging start to his career over fences, winning at Ludlow in May and running to a similar level when second at Worcester last time, losing little in defeat conceding 6 lb to the winner. That form sets a clear standard on weight-adjusted ratings here, and with the prospect of more to come after just two starts over the larger obstacles, Monbeg Legend is fancied to see off the attentions of chasing debutant Golden Birthday, and can continue the fine form of late of the Nicky Henderson yard.

15:45 - ENNISTOWN (2) proved better than ever when second on debut his for Anthony Honeyball at Worcester 12 days ago, and if he's in that sort of mood again under his very capable conditional rider, he could easily go one better in this fourth leg of the Placepot. Theatrebar and Mr McGuiness head the opposition.

16:15 - VOIX D'EAU (4) finally took advantage of his slipping mark at Worcester last time, asserting two out and quickly putting 12 lengths between himself and a subsequent winner. Harry Fry's charge has a 6 lb rise in the weights to contend with here, but he remains well treated judged on the pick of his efforts, still 5 lb lower than when winning at Cheltenham in April 2016, and would appear to hold sound claims in his hat-trick bid, with Imperial Presence feared most of the remainder.

16:45 - THELUNARSCHOONER (5) was a little underwhelming in her first couple of hurdling outings but she's probably the most talented in this field on bumper form so, with a more efficient (has pulled hard) performance, she's capable of getting off the mark here. Kiruna Peak is second choice ahead of Grania O'Malley.

17:20 - AUNTY ANN (2) is not the most reliable but could be the way to go in the finale following a creditable second here, with Compadre and Bassarabad best of the rest.
