Timeform's US team pick out the best bets on Monday.
"The best bet on Monday's Turf Paradise card is Coconut Cream Pie in race 4 (20:49 GMT), a $6.5k claimer on the turf."
Better racing than is the norm on a Monday in North America with Aqueduct staging its final meeting before a break until after Christmas, and we can get off to a good start by backing My Jopia to take the second race (17:49 GMT). This $20k claimer is a good deal weaker than the allowance events that My Jopia has been contesting of late, and she looks to have been put in at a generous price on the Morning Line forecast.
There are plenty in with chances in race 6 at Aqueduct (19:45 GMT), a six-furlong allowance contest for New York-breds, and it could be worth taking on Court Dancer, who looks to have been put in short enough at about 3.5. Since winning her maiden impressively at Saratoga last year, Court Dancer has struggled to get her head in front in seven subsequent starts. In a competitive event, she looks a lay at around 4.0.
The best bet on Monday's Turf Paradise card is Coconut Cream Pie in race 4 (20:49 GMT), a $6.5k claimer on the turf. This one was an impressive winner of a similar contest two starts back before disappointing when stepped up to $10k claiming level last time out. However, that race was significantly stronger in depth than today's contest, and Coconut Cream Pie is taken to bounce back to form. The main danger looks to be Calesita Bay, but she may not get a strong enough pace to run at.
