Timeform's US team pick out their three best bets for Sunday night's stateside action...
"Staying at Woodbine, Headingley looks a good bet in the six-furlong maiden that is carded as race 3..."
Woodbine 18:00 - Sure Would
The opener at Woodbine (18:00 GMT) can fall the way of Sure Would who takes a substantial drop back down in class having been well beaten in starter allowance company last time. This $8k claimer is the same level that Sure Would was successful in two starts ago, and she will appreciate being placed back into this easier company. Her main danger looks to be Penatathlon, but that one lacks early pace and could well concede first run.
Woodbine 18:56 - Headingley
Staying at Woodbine, Headingley looks a good bet in the six-furlong maiden that is carded as race 3 . Having made just one start, finishing fourth over seven furlongs last month, Headingley looks primed to go one better in a field that contains a few exposed sorts. Morning Line favourite Shezafirecracker is one of those types, having been unsuccessful in six previous tries and although just ahead of Headingley last time out, that one possesses the scope to progress past her.
Woodbine 21:24 - Disco Barbie
The highlight of Sunday's North American racing is the Grade 2 Bessarabian Stakes, run over seven furlongs of the Woodbine polytrack. Native Bombshell beat Disco Barbie over a furlong shorter last time, but we expect those placings to be reversed over this longer distance, with the runner-up having a 4 lb pull at the weights. Disco Barbie is a classy and consistent type, having never been out of the first three in six synthetic track starts, and she should go very close here.
