There's a decent card at Delaware to get stuck into this evening, and the best bet on the card looks to be David Jacobson's Night Maneuver in race 8 (20:57 BST). This son of Orientate was claimed two starts back and was immediately pitched into stakes company, where he finished a highly creditable second. This allowance race is a touch easier than that event, and with the Jacobson touch likely to elicit more improvement, he is worth an interest.
Earlier in the evening at Delaware, Colmont Kid has a very solid look in the turf maiden claimer at 18:42 BST (race 2). Third in a similar event when last seen in September, that form is proving very strong for the level, with plenty of winners emerging from the race. The layoff isn't really a concern with runners from the Jonathan Sheppard stable, and Colmont Kid looks like getting off the mark here at the fifth time of asking.
Dixie Band Man finished a good second in a similar race to the one he contests at Presque Isle Downs today (race 7, 00:55 BST), but in form terms, this task is a little easier than that one. Dixie Band Man appears to be a better horse on synthetics rather than dirt nowadays, which seems to account for his apparent upturn in form last time. A reproduction of that effort will see him go close here.
