Timeform's US teams pick out the best bets on Wednesday.
"Few horses at the basement level at Mountaineer can be described as progressive but that description can be applied to Bare Witness who is in a fine vein of form at present."
TimeformUS have Ginny's Grey top on their speed figures for the fifth race (20.24 BST) at Belmont and the daughter of Political Force has to be respected now back with one of her previous trainers Danny Gargan, but this looks like it could well turn into a tactical affair and Matching Skies is preferred. A winner of ten of his 45 starts, Matching Skies already has a win to his name at this Belmont meet and by our estimation looks to have by some way the best recent form. He seems almost certain to get an uncontested lead in front and will prove hard to catch.
There's no Untapable in the field against her this and it's a big drop down from the G1 Apple Blossom Handicap she contested last time at Oaklawn but Call Pat still looks worth opposing in the eighth race (21.45 BST) at Delaware, a minor stakes affair. She's long been exposed as a useful mare, no more, and she's up against a fistful of rivals here who have solid claims, so forecast odds of 3 make very little appeal.
Few horses at the basement level at Mountaineer can be described as progressive but that description can be applied to Bare Witness who is in a fine vein of form at present. The daughter of El Corredor has run her best races here and ran away with a maiden claimer last time in a decent time. The ninth and final race (02.56 BST) is a fair step up in competition but she few of her rivals come here in top form and the forecast 4.5 is appealing.
