Timeform's US team pick out their three best bets for Wednesday night's action across the pond...

"The one to be with is Jazz Age, who was claimed by his current trainer, Juan Vazquez, for $5k in April"

Our first selection is in race 3 at Delaware (19:09 BST), an $8k claimer run over six furlongs. The one to be with is Jazz Age, who was claimed by his current trainer, Juan Vazquez, for $5k in April. Jazz Age has run twice for his new stable, winning once, and finishing a creditable third last time, both races at a higher level than this contest. Today's drop in class should be ideal, and with a strong pace looking likely thanks to the presence of several prominent-racers, Jazz Age should get a decent set-up.

Staying at Delaware, and the next race (19:36 BST), a $30k turf contest over an extended mile, features a selection who's getting some class-relief, also. Love's Not Fair was the winner of an allowance race at Laurel back in November, but has been rather disappointing in similar races so far this year. However, this $30k claimer looks much more palatable than the ones in which he's been competing, and the class-drop should be ideal. There is the slight worry that Love's Not Fair hasn't run since early June, but three strong works over the track suggest he's ready to roll.

Today's final selection comes in the opener at Woodbine (23:45 BST), a seven-furlong claimer on the Polytrack. There's no doubt that Morning Line favourite Machito is a horse in form, having won his last two starts. There is a doubt as to the strength of those particular contests, though, and he looks worth taking on. On the face of it, a horse dropping to claiming company from allowance-level races would look to have an easier task, but this particular race features horses that are around 10 LB better on Timeform form ratings than those Machito has faced recently. Based on that, his price looks like being too short.
