Timeform's US team bring you their three best bets for Tuesday night's stateside action...
"Tom Joywas an all-the-way winner of a minor stakes contest on this track last time, being especially strong at the finish to record a six-and-a-half length victory..."
Today's best bet comes in race 4 at Fort Erie (20:28 BST), a six-furlong maiden claimer. Miss You Lester and Myvision would appear to have this between them, but the former comes here in better form and is proven on a dirt surface. Miss You Lester was second in a similar contest on this track last time, form that has been franked with both the first and third winning subsequently. My vision has only raced on polytrack, and was well beaten last time, tipping the scales in favour of Miss You Lester.
The seventh race at Fort Erie (21:53 BST), an allowance optional claimer over five furlongs, looks likely to fall the way of the in-form Tom Joy. This speedy five-year-old gelding was an all-the-way winner of a minor stakes contest on this track last time, being especially strong at the finish to record a six-and-a-half length victory. That race was over a bit further than today's event, but Tom Joy has such blistering early pace that he should take the drop in distance in his stride.
Moving to the late meeting at Mountaineer, and My Little Angel looks worth taking on in race 5 (01:06 BST), a $5k claimer over six furlongs. A 120-day layoff is a tad disconcerting for this five-year-old, as is the fact that she was capable of competing in much better races before that break, and now plummets down to this very low level. Her lack of early pace is also a concern, and she should be laid at anything around 4.5.
