Timeform's US team pick out the best bets in North America on Tuesday.
"The strongest bet on Mountaineer’s card looks to be in the first race (23:00 GMT), as trainer Eoin Harty ships a rare raider to the West Virginia track."
Rock Hard City was an impressive all-the-way winner in maiden claiming company last time, and can follow up in race 8 at Zia Park (21:31 GMT). That near-fourteen length maiden win came in a fast time, and Rock Hard City looks well placed from stall 1 to dominate this stronger-looking field. His early pace is likely to be a potent weapon in a race that doesn't possess many prominent-racing types, and Rock Hard City is fancied to make all once again.
The final race at Zia Park (23:23 GMT) looks a good opportunity for Tap the Admiral to get back to winning ways after being narrowly denied last time. Prior to that reverse, Tap the Admiral had been on a roll, winning four races in succession, and his consistency is to be admired. Today's starter allowance contest is a good deal weaker than the one in which Tap the Admiral was second last time, and he looks sure to go close.
The strongest bet on Mountaineer's card looks to be in the first race (23:00 GMT), as trainer Eoin Harty ships a rare raider to the West Virginia track. Fourteener has only made one start, when down the field in an Arlington Park maiden, but that was a strong contest on the polytrack, and Fourteener promises to be better suited by dirt, based on pedigree. The opposition, as you'd expect from a Mountaineer maiden, is far from formidable, and it will be disappointing if Fourteener doesn't get off the mark
