Timeform's US team turn to Mountaineer and Zia Park for Tuesday's best bets...
Morning Line favourite, Borren Indentity, meets several in-form rivals in race 4 at Mountaineer (01:06 BST), and looks short enough at the forecast price of around 2/1...
The sixth race at Zia Park (21:25 BST), a five-and-a-half furlong starter allowance contest, seems to represent a good opportunity for D Cat's Trip to return to winning ways after finishing a narrow second last time out. Prior to that, this six-year-old mare had won a similar event by over five lengths, defeating one of today's rivals, T Nell T. With her trainer, Justin Evans, in his usual sparkling form, D Cat's Trip looks one of today's best bets.
There is a reasonably big field of State-bred two-year-olds in the closing race at Zia (00:23 BST), but the majority will have to go some to match the standard that Lonnie Ton achieved on his debut, when narrowly beaten into second place. That level of form is well above what is usually needed to win an average renewal of a two-year-old maiden for New Mexico-breds at this track, and Lonnie Ton should go one better this time.
Morning Line favourite, Borren Indentity, meets several in-form rivals in race 4 at Mountaineer (01:06 BST), and looks short enough at the forecast price of around 2/1. While he's been in decent form himself, the races that Borren Identity has been contesting haven't had as much depth as today's contest, and with his lack of early pace also an issue, he looks worth taking on. Both Jimmy the Whip and Battle Strike possess comparable, if not better, form than Borren Indentity, and one or two of the others are not too far off on ratings.
