Timeform's US team bring you their three best bets for Thursday night's stateside action...
"Just Ask Robert is another in-form horse, and he appears to have an ideal pace scenario in race 5 at Penn National..."
The class act on show at Belmont is the Godolphin-owned Transparent, who returns from a long layoff to contest race 8 (21:50 BST), an allowance optional claimer over 8.5 furlongs. This four year-old-son of Bernardini had looked very promising last season, beating Romansh in a listed contest, before being thought good enough to contest the G1 Travers at Saratoga. He cut no ice there, but that probably came early enough in his development, and he was seen to much better effect when fourth in the G2 Pennsylvania Derby on his next start. Even if he's a tad rusty, Transparent should still get the job done against today's opposition.
The second race at Presque Isle Downs (22:50 BST) features a mare in Vision of Romance who is very much in form, and has a good chance of following up her recent smooth success. That win came in a similar contest to this starter allowance event, and has a solid look to it with Cluain Meala, who finished last that day, coming back to win subsequently. Vision of Romance has been put in at 5.0 on the Morning Line, though anything above 4.0 is perfectly acceptable.
Just Ask Robert is another in-form horse, and he appears to have an ideal pace scenario in race 5 at Penn National (00:49 BST). An all-the-way winner last time out, Just Ask Robert is fancied to repeat the dose in this slightly better class contest, in which the majority of the six-strong field tend to be either stalkers or come-from-behind types. With a clean break - the one slight reservation is that he can be slowly away at times - Just Ask Robert should be very hard to catch.
