Timeform's US team pick out their three best bets for Wednesday...
"The Timeform US Pace Projector is predicting that it will be run at a fierce gallop, which could well play into the hands of Shanty Bay..."
Forbidden Drive disappointed last time on softer turf than she'd previously encountered before, but is taken to bounce back to form in the opening race at Penn National (23:00 BST). This turf race is also a fair bit weaker than the ones Forbidden Dive has been contesting at Pimlico, and with the prospect of firmer ground here, along with a likely favourite from a high profile stable to make the market, she looks worth backing at around 4.5.
Even though there are only six runners in race 5 at Penn National (00:49 BST), the Timeform US Pace Projector is predicting that it will be run at a fierce gallop, which could well play into the hands of Shanty Bay. This five-year-old gelding is at his best with a strong pace to run at, and he should get a perfect set-up in this race with at least three front-runners in opposition.
In race 4 at Charles Town (01:23 BST), Semester faces several in-form rivals, and looks to have been priced too short at 4.0 on the Morning Line. Despite winning his last start, that wasn't a particularly strong event, and this race possesses a great deal more depth. Indeed, when Semester has faced this sort of task recently he's been well beaten, and looks worth taking on here.
