Timeform's US team pick out the best bets on Thursday.
"The eighth race at Belmont (21:57 BST) sees the reappearance of Mansion House, a three-year-old who raced in Ireland last year for David Wachman."
The third race at Belmont today (19:22 BST) looks to provide a good opportunity for Coolusive to follow up his win over C&D at the start of the month. Although that race was a claimer and this is a more valuable purse, the calibre of opposition looks weaker if anything and it's probably no coincidence Coolusive has put up his two best efforts at this demanding galloping track on the only two occasions he has raced here. Morning Line quotes of 7-2 look generous and he can take care of forecast favourite Bemata.
The eighth race at Belmont (21:57 BST) sees the reappearance of Mansion House, a three-year-old who raced in Ireland last year for David Wachman. He showed useful form in three outings then, and despite being by Galileo recorded his best performance when dropped to six furlongs in the Anglesey Stakes in the summer, so clearly isn't short of speed. Third in a stakes race here on his Stateside debut for Christophe Clement last autumn, Mansion House will appreciate the extended mile on this occasion and is preferred to his stable companion Belly of the Whale in very winnable race.
In the seventh race (02:22 BST) at Evangeline Downs, a claimer over a mile on the main track, forecast favourite Jump Jump looks a shade too short in the market at 3-1. Karl Broberg's stable may be in very good form and Jump Jump may have won his last race, after which his current trainer claimed him, but this looks to be quite a step up in grade and there are several with better or at least equally good chances on form in what looks an open heat. He's worth taking on.
