"Jackson N Lorimer can take advantage of a drop in class and record a first victory in race 4 at Belmont..."
Kate Greenaway looks open to plenty of improvement on just her second career start, and is taken to come out on top in the opening race of Belmont's spring meeting (18:20 BST). Kiaran McLaughlin's well-bred filly showed good early pace before getting a little tired on her debut, and her forecast odds could well be on the generous side. Runners from this stable generally improve from their debut, and the fact that she is racing on Lasix for the first time is another plus.
Jackson N Lorimer can take advantage of a drop in class and record a first victory in race 4 at Belmont (19:53 BST). While unlikely to match the performance of his debut last summer when sixth to Honor Code, Jackson N Lorimer should be capable of taking this modest maiden claimer, having run creditably against better opposition in two starts this year. Anything around his forecast odds of 3.55/2 would represent decent value.
A strong pace is needed for Count to Seven to be seen to best effect, and he looks likely to get that in race 7 at Penn National (01:43 BST). Count to Seven normally races in Maryland, but shipped successfully to Penn National in February, and it looks significant that his trainer has chosen that path once more. With several front runners/prominent races in opposition, this low level claimer looks like it could set up nicely for Count to Seven to record his second course win.
