Timeform's US team provide bets from Aqueduct and Penn National on Thursday...
Chad Brown's horses have been in their usual scintillating form at Aqueduct's winter meet, and his second time starter Kacy Lauren can take race 4 (19:47 GMT), a six-furlong maiden special weight. Trapped wide on her debut, Kacy Lauren stuck on nicely to finish third that day, and should be much sharper with that experience under her belt. The sloppy track she encountered on debut may not have been ideal either, and with drier conditions forecast for today's race, she looks to have a good chance.
Twenty Black hasn't really cut it in allowance company on her last two starts, but will be much more at home in the $15k claimer that is carded as race 5 at Penn National (00:49 GMT). Despite having run well previously at allowance level, Twenty Black probably just falls a little short of the standard required to win those races on a regular basis, but the opposition she faces in today's race is a good deal weaker. With her tactical speed also a valuable asset, Twenty Black looks today's best bet.
There are a couple of angles that lead us to believe Stonezuela is likely to break her maiden at the seventh time of asking in the closing race at Penn National (02:10 GMT). This one-mile maiden claimer features some modest, very exposed types, and Stonezuela is the subject of a positive trainer change, as well as getting blinkers on for the first time. From a favourable inside draw, she looks likely to make a bold bid to take this field all the way.
