Timeform's US team select their best bets on Thursday, from Aqueduct and Keeneland.
"The ground has been soft on Keeneland’s turf track throughout the meeting so far, and with more rain forecast, it looks set to stay that way for the time being."
Aqueduct race 5 (20:24 BST) - Bella the Bandit
Bella the Bandit won a weaker claimer than this in good style last time, and looks ready for a step back up in grade. This $25k claimer is a good deal stronger, but Bella the Bandit is proven in much better company in the past. Elmra returned to form last time, and looks sure to make a bold bid in this similar race., with Annie Walker another in-form horse to consider in what is a fair contest.
Aqueduct race 6 (20:55 BST) - Get Out of Town
Get Out of Town hasn't shown a great deal in two starts to date, but is the only one of this maiden-claiming field dropping from maiden special weight company, and is worth chancing at what should be a fair price. Point Hope is the one with the best form in the book, but is still a maiden after twelve starts, while Thomas Knight has also shown enough to win a race of this nature.
Keeneland race 8 (21:42 BST) - Indian Rainbow
The ground has been soft on Keeneland's turf track throughout the meeting so far, and with more rain forecast, it looks set to stay that way for the time being. With that in mind, Indian Rainbow must have a good chance of taking this allowance contest for Christophe Clement, if the race stays on the grass. Presumably, she will be withdrawn if this is switched to the main track, being turf bred through and through.
