Timeform's US team pick out the best bets on Sunday.

"Royal Son looks a lay at around the forecast 3.5 in the tenth race (22.40 GMT) at Woodbine, a Grade 3 event over a mile and three quarters."

Readtheprospectus has done this column a few favours at Aqueduct in the winter before and looks the one to be on again in the third race there today (18.20 GMT), an allowance optional claimer. The six-year-old isn't far off being as good as ever, winning three of his last four starts, and he looks overpriced in a race in which he has the best form.

In the eighth race (21.40 GMT) at Woodbine, Bear'sway has been put in as favourite but while his chances are good, those of Don't Be So Salty look even better. The selection has had four of his five races on turf, but the one time he raced on a synthetic surface at Presque Isle Downs he recorded his best performance. He should be able to secure the lead and the drop to seven furlongs will suit.

Royal Son looks a lay at around the forecast 3.5 in the tenth race (22.40 GMT) at Woodbine, a Grade 3 event over a mile and three quarters. That's an extreme distance in North American terms, and while forecast favourite is a sure stayer Royal Son has yet to run beyond nine furlongs and doesn't shape as if crying out for an extreme test.
