Timeform's US team split their bets between Woodbine and Belmont.
"It is back to Woodbine for the third selection, which is Sorry About That in race 8 (21:44 BST)."
The opener at Woodbine (18:00 BST) looks to provide an inviting laying opportunity in the shape of Gentleman Jackson, a formerly useful performer who has done nothing recently to suggest he should be odds on, as is the Morning Line forecast. He finished second here last time, it is true, but he was beaten more than nine lengths that day by a rival who has been well-beaten since. Three of Gentleman Jackson's four rivals boast form at least his equal in recent months, so you should have a number of live ones running for you.
The return of last year's top juvenile Havana in race three is the big draw at Belmont, but a better punting opening looks to come in race 7 (21:26 BST), in which Indy Sea has a class advantage if at his best. He was not at his best at Aqueduct last time, when he was just fourth in a Starter Allowance, but the return to turf and step back up to seven furlongs could easily reverse the gelding's fortunes. The forecast favourite, Golden Rifle, comes to this on the back of a couple of good efforts but needs to step up further to land this. All in all, this isn't as strong a race as it may first appear.
It is back to Woodbine for the third selection, which is Sorry About That in race 8 (21:44 BST). The grey gelding returned from a nine-month break to land an optional claimer here last month in good style. That was at five furlongs and today's race is at six, but he showed his ability to see out the longer distance when second in a $125k race here last year. Two of his rivals, Sky Over Flats and Tactical Moment, look likely to be overbet if the Morning Line is anything to go by, for their form to date is a good 10 lb inferior to Sorry About That's at that one's best.
