Timeform's US team pick out the best bets on Sunday.
"...Mister Blues looks to have a good chance of recording a second career success in the $25k claimer at Tampa Bay Downs (race 7, 20:27 GMT)."
Sequoia's Mark hasn't been seen since finishing fifth in a $15k claimer at Churchill Downs in September, but that was a significantly stronger contest than the $7.5k event he contests at Turfway Park today (race 2, 18:39 GMT), and he could well make short work of these rivals if ready to go following the layoff. The switch from dirt to polytrack may raise one or two concerns, but there is plenty in Sequoia's Mark's pedigree to offer encouragement that the surface change shouldn't be an inconvenience.
Another with a slight question mark over the surface is Silver Union in the allowance optional claimer carded as race 8 (21:33 GMT). However, the Mike Maker horses are in such good form at Turfway Park that she is worth chancing against a couple who have proven form at the venue but that are likely to be shorter prices. With Silver Union's dirt form looking a good deal better than her opposition here, she could make a mockery of 4/1 Morning Line odds if proving effective on the Turfway polytrack.
A little earlier, in the much warmer climes of Florida, Mister Blues looks to have a good chance of recording a second career success in the $25k claimer at Tampa Bay Downs (race 7, 20:27 GMT). Campaigned exclusively in allowance company since breaking his maiden, Mister Blues could finally have found the correct level in this claimer, and ran much better than his finishing position of eighth suggested last time. A wide trip was no help that day, and with a better pitch against this softer opposition, he should go close.
