Timeform's US team have found bets from Aqueduct and Turf Paradise on Saturday...
In the seventh race (20:14 GMT) at Aqueduct, Chapman has been put in as favourite on the Morning Line at 3.5 but still makes plenty of appeal. He's not won since landing an allowance race on the inner dirt - the circuit in use today - but he's faced some extremely tough tasks since, including on his last two runs at Belmont and on the outer circuit here. Seventh place last time in a race run at a strong pace rather disguises what a good effort that was over a trip beyond his best and back at six furlongs, seemingly assured of a place at the head of affairs, he can make the most of this big drop in class.
The highlight at Aqueduct is the eighth race, the Queens County Stakes over nine furlongs at 20:43 GMT, and it looks to be a good opportunity for Vyjack to resume the winning thread. Once spoken of as a likely Triple Crown candidate, he flopped in the Kentucky Derby after being one of those that chased the suicidal early pace, after which his career stalled somewhat. His last two efforts have seen plenty of the old sparkle, however, and his latest effort in the Cigar Mile can be upgraded considering he was once again too close to a strong pace. This contest is a fair bit easier to say the least, and none, if any, in the field run Aqueduct as well as he does, so he should make his class prevail.
Guild looks a 'getable' favourite in the third race (20:49 GMT) at Turf Paradise, a two-year-old allowance contest on the turf. His position at the head of the market is probably to do with the fact that he won over course and distance last month, so is proven on grass, and the fact that he is part of the Darley operation and boasts a decent pedigree. That said, the form of his maiden claiming win is modest to say the least and there are a several other dangers, not least American Sun who won on his debut at Del Mar in an open maiden and promises to be well suited by the longer trip.
