Timeform's US team pick out three bets to start the week.
"Over at Zia Park, Electrolyte looks to have a good chance of recording a third career success in race 10 (23:09 GMT)..."
The highlight of Turf Paradise's Monday card is the turf allowance event carded as race 4 (22:17 GMT), run over seven and a half furlongs. The class act is undoubtedly Freakin Rocket, who showed useful form on the grass at Santa Anita last year before going to the sidelines for over 400 days. Freakin Rocket returned at Turf Paradise last month, finishing second on dirt, but now returns to the surface on which he has posted his best performances. With that prep under his belt, Freakin Rocket should take all the beating.
Freakin Rocket's trainer Robertino Diodoro can cap a good day by taking the other turf race on the Turf Paradise card, a seven-and-a-half furlong claimer (race 7, 23:46 GMT). Plazarita makes her first start for the in-form Diodoro in this contest having been contesting stronger events at the likes of Santa Anita and Del Mar. While yet to win on turf, the versatile Plazarita has shown decent form on synthetics, so the surface shouldn't be too much of an issue.
Over at Zia Park, Electrolyte looks to have a good chance of recording a third career success in race 10 (23:09 GMT), a one-mile claimer on the dirt. Prior to disappointing in the mud last time out, Electrolyte had been in good form, running consistently well without getting his head in front. The drop in grade to this $7.5k claimer from $10k company, combined with a return to a dry surface, should be the catalyst for getting this four-year-old colt back on track.
