Timeform's US team pick out the best bets in North America on Friday.
"The opener at Penn National (23:00 BST) sees Jonestown Jonesy dropping back to the claiming ranks..."
Race 5 at Belmont (20:09 BST), a turf allowance contest restricted to New York-breds, looks a good opportunity for the consistent Caribean Beat to record her first win since last year, having a posted a series of good efforts in defeat. Her most recent run - when third in a similar contest - sets a good standard in here, and with the fifth-place finisher that day returning to run well subsequently, and the first two both having Timeform ratings in the 100s, the form has a solid look to it.
Dancing House hasn't been seen since finishing fifth in last season's Breeders' Cup Juvenile Fillies Turf at Santa Anita, but has a good chance of making her return a winning one in race 8 at Belmont (21:45 BST). The layoff is not really a concern for this Kiaran McLaughlin-trained filly, as her trainer usually has them ready to run their best, regardless. This isn't the strongest of races, and it will be disappointing if Dancing House doesn't take this on her way to better things.
The opener at Penn National (23:00 BST) sees Jonestown Jonesy dropping back to the claiming ranks, having competed in an allowance contest last time out. His previous start in this sort of claiming company resulted in Jonestown Jonesy running a good third, and he is a very consistent operator at this level. His Morning Line odds of 5.59/2 look like being good value, and anything around that price should be taken.
