Timeform's US experts are on hand to give you their three best bets for Friday night's stateside racing...
"Roses for Romney was an impressive winner on her first start for the Christophe Clement stable, and can repeat the feat in race 8 at Belmont..."
It was a weak maiden claimer that Eye of the World won last time, and he'll have to improve significantly if he's to justify his forecast price of 3.0 in the second race at Woodbine (18:31 BST). This race has a great deal more depth to it, with at least three of his rivals possessing stronger claims on Timeform form ratings. Eye of the Storm could also be compromised by his habit of getting a long way behind in the early stages of his races.
Roses for Romney was an impressive winner on her first start for the Christophe Clement stable, and can repeat the feat in race 8 at Belmont (21:57 BST). It's not often that horses improve having left Todd Pletcher, but Clement has an excellent record with his turf runners, and you couldn't rule out Roses for Romney making further progress in his care. This isn't the strongest fillies allowance race, and Roses for Romney is fancied to make it two wins from two starts for her new trainer.
It's probably best to forgive Nellie Cashman's last effort, as it came following a break of five months, and she should be ready to peak now in race 4 at Penn National (00:22 BST). This four-year-old filly produced a series of consistent efforts last season, including a pair of wins at Graded level. The field she faces tonight are nowhere near that sort of class, and a back-to-her-best Nellie Cashman should be too good for them.
