I'M AVAILABE - 15:05 Nottingham
I'M AVAILABLE failed to justify favouritism on her handicap debut at Chelmsford earlier this month, but she actually shaped much better than the bare result, having been short of room at a crucial stage. She can be expected to resume her progress granted better luck this time, and appeals as the likeliest winner now back down in grade for the prolific Oisin Murphy/Andrew Balding combination. Mary Somerville, who was twice runner-up last season and should go one better before long, can give the selection most to do, with Arctic Fox and Tartlette others to note.
NAVIGATE BY STARS - 16:05 Nottingham
NAVIGATE BY STARS improved further after seven months off when fourth at Windsor last time, clearly relishing the longer trip - and shaping well to boot - as she made some eye-catching late headway behind the impressive winner Telecaster. Admittedly, she is probably going to want an even stiffer test of stamina than this in time, but it would be no surprise if she overcame those concerns to make a winning handicap debut here, starting out on a potentially lenient mark and representing the Tom Dascombe yard that could hardly be in better form (four winners from last 13 runners).
TENAX - 17:10 Nottingham
TENAX shaped encouragingly when third under a hands-and-heels ride at Thirsk recently, and could be worth backing to confirm that promise on just his second start for a new yard here. Indeed, he was returning from a seven-month break there, so is entitled to strip fitter this time, and the form was given a timely boost when the winner Leodis Dream followed up in good style at Sandown on Friday. Free Love did the job well when outpointing Khafooq over C&D last time and is next best ahead of Converter.
