Youcannotbeserious - Punchestown 15:40
It's difficult to look past the returning Youcannotbeserious, who admittedly failed to live up to expectations on his hunter chase debut when last seen at Cork 17 months ago, but he arrives here setting a clear form standard and looks worthy of another chance if ready to go after a lengthy break for his shrewd connections. Indeed, Enda Bolger has won five of the last eight renewals of this, and he's expected to strike once again.
Son of Camas - Puncheston 18:05
Considering that only four of this 19-strong field have any kind of racecourse experience under their belts, it's admittedly tricky to have too strong an opinion on this bumper, but the fact that Son of Camas lines up here for Nicky Henderson looks particularly significant. He's bred for speed (half-brother to 12.5f-15f winner (stays 15f) Geoffrey's Girl), which is likely to prove a big advantage against the majority of his rivals, and his strength in the market this morning is an ominous sign with a top amateur booked to ride.
A Plus Tard - Punchestown 18:40
A Plus Tard was arguably the most impressive winner of the entire Cheltenham Festival when sauntering to a 16-length success in last month's Close Brothers Novices' Handicap Chase, producing a Grade 1 performance on the figures. It was a win of staggering authority, and if he arrives here in the same mood, he's going to be very difficult to be in receipt of an age allowance.
