Nick Shiambouros started the week with a winner at Leicester. Nick returns with a couple of decent priced selections from Leicester and Lingfield...
"I think he is worth another chance and is generously priced at 16.015/1 on the exchange"
Triple a double digit bet
13:50 Leicester - Triple One
I am going to take a chance with Triple One in this interesting contest.
This colt finished down the field behind Pearl Of Qatar at Beverley earlier this month. He missed the break, and subsequently failed to land a blow behind the game winner. This son of Toronado cost 82,000gns at the breeze-up sales and comes from a good family. I think he is worth another chance and is generously priced at 16.015/1 on the exchange.
Murqaab is the obvious danger. He was narrowly beaten in a similar event at Doncaster and is improving with racing. He does not appear to be entirely straightforward but has ability. At present he is trading at 2.6213/8 on the exchange.
Blimey to turn over Jolly
15:10 Lingfield - Coeur Blimey
Coeur Blimey can upset the short priced favourite in this novice stakes.
This decent hurdler beat odds-on King Lud in a similar event at Chepstow earlier this month. He took the lead three furlongs from home and steadily pulled clear to win with complete authority. I think he has more to offer in this sphere, and is attractively priced at 5.24/1 on the exchange.
The beautifully bred Wissahickon heads the market at 2.111/10 on the exchange. He was a tad disappointing when finishing second to Lucky Deal at Chelmsford last November. In truth he looked a little one paced when the chips were down. He has the form in the book to take this, but I have no interest in backing him at that price.
