Nick Shiambouros returns with two selections from Catterick and Wolverhampton...
"I think she has a lot more to offer, and is attractively priced at 6.611/2 on the exchange"
Ace holds a strong hand
14:50 Catterick - Ace Ventura
Ace Ventura should go close in this maiden hurdle.
This gelding caught the eye on hurdles debut when finishing third to Praeceps at Market Rasen. He kept on really well in the closing stages, and finished the race with good energy. The winner has since finished third in a valuable Grade 2. This was a promising debut from this lightly raced individual, and further improvement is expected. At present he is trading at 3.45 on the exchange.
Saryshagann needs to settle better if he is to trouble the selection. Last time out at Musselburgh he pulled very hard, and paid the price in the closing stages behind Fisher Green. At present he is trading at 4.77/2 on the exchange.
Sarasota to improve
17:30 Wolverhampton - Sarasota
Sarasota can upset the short priced favourite in this novice stakes.
This filly put in a much improved effort when finishing second to Muneyra over this course last October. She ran on strongly inside the final furlong, but could not get to grips with the game winner. I think she has a lot more to offer, and is attractively priced at 6.611/2 on the exchange.
Bay Of Naples heads the market at 2.26/5 on the exchange. He made all to win a similar event at Lingfield earlier this month, but does have to carry a penalty. He will likely employ similar tactics, but hopefully the selection will swoop late to land the spoils.
