Kazaar showed some seriously improved form last time out over a furlong shorter at Scottsville, appearing late on the scene to finish a three-quarter length second to Drageda earlier this month. He had clearly been showing a lot more at home since his first two unplaced efforts and was backed on course from 13/1 to 11/2 at the off in a race that is working out well, with the third (who was another two and a quarter lengths adrift) winning since and both fourth and fifth placing.

Playlist went in to the record books for all the wrong reasons last time out after "winning" here in the race that never was after the contest was declared void following a false start. Whether he would have won regardless is open to question, but the son of Querari clearly has plenty of ability (and guts to match) to get to the front in the pouring rain that day, and if he can repeat that then Playlist looks one of the better bets on a competitive Greyville card.

Mirwa 14:40 (GMT)

Mirwa stands out in a pretty poor field for this 1m maiden and ought to have little difficulty in taking the spoils if in the same sort of form as when finishing second over this trip at Scottsville last time out, going under by two and a half lengths in a better-looking race. Duncan Howells' filly should be race-fit after her first run in nine weeks or so, and should prove very hard to beat.
