"...another victory could be on the cards after a fine run at Leicester last time..."

Timeform on Bayston Hill

Sam Cooke - Lingfield 14:35

Sam Cooke was a promising second on debut at Kempton 18 days ago, just getting outspeeded by one with experience in the final 75 yards having taken up the lead a furlong out. He looks sure to improve and can get off the mark. Newcomers Ticklish and Twenty Years On make a bit more appeal as potential dangers than the exposed pair of Beauty Concept and Nina Petrovna.

General Zoff - Lingfield 15:10

General Zoff was beaten 4 lengths by Swordbill at Kempton last week, but he was hampered inside the final furlong that day and enjoys a healthy pull at the weights with that rival as a consequence of the result. As such, WIlliam Muir's charge is taken to emerge on top this time. That was Swordbill's third win on the bounce and, with further improvement possible, he is the clear main danger. Moans Cross is best of the rest.

Bayston Hill - Lingfield 16:20

Bayston Hill's last 2 wins have come over C&D, most recently when producing a cateer best to score off just 1 lb lower than today back in May, and another victory could be on the cards after a fine run at Leicester last time, when only headed inside the final furlong. Ban Shoof is another who goes well around here and is handicapped to win again. Cheeky Rascal and Spanish History merit consideration also.
