Nick Shiambouros is back with a couple of strong fancies from Wolverhampton and Wetherby...
"He is improving with racing and should go very close for his astute trainer"
15:45 Wolverhampton - Clumber Street
Clumber Street should go close in his first venture in to claiming company.
This lightly raced gelding finished third to Normal Equilibrium in a handicap at Chelmsford City last April. He held every chance two furlongs from home, but failed to deliver a challenge and was firmly put in his place.
I think he will appreciate the ease in grade and is fairly priced at 3.185/40 on the exchange.
Come On Dave appears to be the main danger. He sets a decent standard but does have to concede weight all around.
20:20 Wetherby - High Draw
High Draw is an interesting runner in this maiden.
This Falco gelding finished a close second to Siri at Nottingham last month. He ran on strongly under pressure inside the final furlong but could not get by the game winner.
He is improving with racing and should go very close for his astute trainer. At present he is trading at 3.412/5 on the exchange which is more than fair.
Torch is the favourite at 2.3811/8. He put in a much improved effort when finishing second in a Newmarket maiden and must be respected.
Sir George Somers represents the Stoute yard. He has shown promise in his two starts, but his future appears to be in handicaps.
