Timeform pick out three bets on Tuesday...
Coeur de Lion - 15:00 Nottingham
Coeur de Lion has developed into a useful hurdler since last seen on the Flat in October and looks very interesting back in this sphere. He ran about as well as could have been expected when finishing mid-field in the Triumph Hurdle at the Festival on his final start, and is potentially very well handicapped returned to the Flat off a BHA mark of 73. Alan King is going along nicely at present and this relatively unexposed four-year-old looks to have plenty in his favour. Chelsea's Boy could give him the most to do having shaped well on debut for Ralph Beckett last month and he is unexposed at staying trips.
Omran - 16:10 Newcastle
Omran ran a belting reappearance when a close fourth in what is often one of the stronger early-season three-year-old handicaps at Newbury last month. That form is working out particularly well, and Marco Botti's charge is entitled to have come on for that. The handicapper has only raised him 1 lb for that run, which could turn out to be on the lenient side, and he looks a handicapper to follow with further improvement forthcoming. Morning Suit showed the benefit of a gelding operation when producing a career-best effort to win at Brighton on his return last week and looks a big danger turned out under a penalty, while Inaam goes particularly well at this track and needs considering too.
Provoking - 16:20 Brighton
Provoking had a dismal three-year-old campaign, but he has fallen a long way in the weights as a result, and took a step back in the right direction when a good third on return in a 1m handicap at this course three weeks ago. He has subsequently been dropped a further 2 lb by the assessor, so has plenty going for him from a handicapping perspective, and is very much one to consider. Dalavand is best not judged on his latest run over an unsuitable trip and this free-going sort should be much more effective back at 10f and is feared most.
