#9 Galactic Warrior - Vaal R6 (14:40 BST)

#9 Galactic Warrior continues at the top of his game and can come out on top for Lucky Houdalakis. The rapid sprinter took a course and distance handicap in May and wasn't beaten far at Turffontein last time. His biggest danger could be the filly Operetta, who was successful herself at Turffontein three weeks ago and looks progressive. Oravar completes the shortlist.

#6 Celestina - Vaal R7 (15:20 BST)

#6 Celestina is taken to end her losing run in the fillies and mares sprint handicap. She was a winner at Vaal in her younger days and has returned to form in recent weeks, well backed when third at Turffontein last time. Nawaasi has fewer miles on the clock and looks the big threat. Ocean City has won at the track the last twice and shouldn't be underestimated in her current mood.

#12 Prince of Promise - Vaal R8 (15:55 BST)

#12 Prince of Promise is worth a bet in an open finale. His win-record is a concern but he ran his best race for ages when second over a mile at the track three weeks ago and could be ready to strike again. Now and Forever has a very similar profile but he too posted a fine effort on his latest outing. What A Joker was successful last time out and should remain competitive.
